Day 1: Tangier – Chefchouen – Meknes :
Meet in Tangier, and departure to Fez via the Rif Mountains with enclosed valleys. We visit Chefchaouen, an authentic town characterized with white and blue houses. Continuation to Meknes, the 16 century capital of Moulay Ismail. Sightseeing includes, Bab Mansour, the basin Swani, Moulay ismail mausoleum. Overnigh in a charming Riad in the heart of the Medina.
Day 2: Meknes – Fez :
After breakfast, we set off for Fez. Along the way we visit the ancient ruins of Volubilis where romans left significant traces. We arrange a guided local visit of Fez. Fez attractions include the Royal Palace, the potry and ceramic of Fez, the Karaouiyin university, the Tannaries and the old bustling Medina of Fez. Evening at leisure. Overnigh in an authentic Riad.
Day 3: Fez – Midelt – Merzouga :
After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga desert. On the way we cross the town of Immouez, a summer resort and a town which gives out the Sais plains. We continue through Ifrane, famous for the university of alAkhawayn (the brothers university), and the royal palace. We stop in Azrou cedar forest where we take pictures of the macaque monkeys. We head Midelt for lunch. We keep moving through the High Atlas Mountains and we cross Errachida, Erfoud which is famous for the fossil’s preparation. We drive the rest of the itinerary to Merzouga through Rissani. night in a typical guesthouse.
Day 4: Merzouga :
Today is reserved to explore Merzouga surroundings. We tour the Erg Chebbi dunes, a gift from nature that stands over 25 km. We include a visit of the Serji lake which attract many sorts of immigrant birds and we attend a performance of Gnawa music played with black people. We drive to Rissani where we visit the local market. At the afternoon we drive back to Merzouga where we change the 4WD with a friendly camels. Overnight in a Berber nomad tent.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges :
Wake up for sunrise lovely pictures. Trek back to the hotel where we take showers and breakfast. We drive to Tinghir along the palm groves of Tafilalet. We continue to Tinghir via Tinjdad. We take time to enjoy the stunning view of the Todgha gorges with cliffs that rise up to 300 meters. Todgha rivers flows in between to irrigate the plam groves of dozen Ksours. Night in a hotel.
Day 6: Todgha gorges – Marrakech :
Breakfast and Departure to Marrakech along the way of thousand Kasbah, we cross Kelaa M’gouna, Skoura and arrive to Ouarzazate. Lunch and visit of the local Kasbah of Taourirt, then continuation to Ait banhadou to explore the most attractive Kasbah in Morocco. Ait Benhadou was declared a wolrd heritage patrimony by the UNESCO, and many films have been shot in this touristy corner. After lunch, we drive via Ticgka pass to arrive in the early evening to Marrakech. Night in the Riad.
Day 7: Marrakech :
Today will be dedicated to explore Marrakech. Historical visit of Marrakech will include Menara garden, a magnificent pool surrounded by flowers and other impressive sights such as the koutoubia Mosque (the twin tower of Giralda in Seville, Spain). The Saadian tombs demonstrate the Moorish architecture with its perfection, The Bahia palace and Madrassa Ibn Youssef. The guide take you to the restaurant for lunch.
Evening drums will draw you to the Djemaa El Fna (main city square). It’s a festival atmosphere, with snake charmers, Berber and Gnoua musicians, and storytellers illuminated by lamplight and wreathed in smoke. Food stalls on the square sell fresh salads, soups, fried fish and chips, chicken and beef kebabs and even boiled snails or sheep’s head. Finish it off with a glass of sweet cinnamon tea.
Day 8: Marrakech – Rabat :
We set off for Rabat via Casablanca where we visit the biggest Hassan 2 Mosque. Continuation to Rabat. Visit of the Hassan unfinished mosque, the Oudaya Kasbah. Night in the hotel.
Day 9: Rabat – Tangier :
At the appropriate time we depart to Tangier, and transfer to the airport/port. The end of our services.
